The COVVI-19 pandemic allowed the advent of a revolutionary technology: Messenger RNA vaccines (mRNA), which entered the market during the health crisis. The researchers managed to develop their vaccines in less than a year, reversing the pandemic course and spraying the record reached with the mirror vaccine, developed in four years.
In addition to the millions of saved lives, this breakthrough has confirmed the revolutionary therapeutic mRNA potential, and several hundred clinical trials are currently underway. “This technology is just starting to arrive on the market,” observes Mirella Salvatore, from the Faculty of Medicine of Cornell University, in New York.
