The president of the Argentine Republica, Javier Mileiis very active on X (the social network formerly known as Twitter). This Saturday at noon, the liberal politician has shared a sketch by the Spanish humorist José Mota.

“Fabulous. Collectible.” Milei wrote in his tweet, in which he shares a video post by a Spanish user.

In the images, José Mota plays a politician who is at an inauguration. Before starting his speech, Mota goes on listing all the high-ranking officials who attended the event.

There is an ellipsis and it gets dark, and Mota continues naming positions, more and more absurd (“counselor of the Environment, counselor of the other half…”), until finally revealing that what is being inaugurated is a “road patch”.

In the epilogue to the sketcha father and daughter are watching the event on television. The girl’s conclusion is clear: “If there were fewer senior officials more roads could be made, couldn’t they?”. The father replies, “You noticed that too.”

Even before his accession to the Casa Rosada, Javier Milei has always been an advocate of the maximum slimming down of the state’s structures and an extreme reduction of high positions.
