Mali: gold production fell in 2024 due to yields in sharp decline

The production of gold in Mali experienced a significant fall last year, with a decrease of fifteen tonnes compared to 2023, according to figures communicated by the Ministry of Mines of Mali. In 2023, the country produced only 51 tonnes of gold, against the 58 tonnes planned, a figure much lower than expectations. This is the first time in three years that the 60 -ton bar has not been reached.
