British Airways has been forced to cancel or postpone several commercial flights scheduled for Monday afternoon. after suffering a computer failure. The incident has left passengers stranded for hours at airports, with particular impact on Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 in London.

“We are aware of a technical problem that British Airways is investigating. And we will work with them to provide updates to passengers as soon as they become available.. Heathrow’s systems are operating as normal,” a company spokesman said.

Several local media outlets have commented on this news throughout this Monday, attending the complaints from dozens of passengers who have spoken out on social networks. The reason for the interruption in its operations has been a computer failure.

This failure has forced the airline to delay or cancel some flights, with some flights being postponed for more than two hours. Many customers have complained not having updated information on the situation, being trapped inside the planes with no news of the departure time.
